Time Battlemage Job IconTime Battlemage

The Time Battlemage gains access to all levels of Time Magick, including Time Magick IconHastega and Time Magick IconReflectga. They rely on Crossbows to deal regular damage unless you pair this job with another of the available jobs. It gets access to Green Magick IconDecoy (and some other Green Magicks) as well. It is pretty often best paired with the Knight, the Monk, or the White Mage (to create the ultimate support character).

Esper and Quickening Unlocks

Each Esper and Quickening you unlock is tied to a specific spot on the License Board, and claiming one opens up the licenses around it. The table below shows which extra licenses each Esper makes available on this board, along with the Quickening unlock, so you can decide which character should claim each one.

Job Pairing Recommendations

The Time Battlemage works best when paired with a second job that covers its gaps. A few combinations worth considering:

Combination Why It Works
Time Battlemage / Shikari Adds Haste and other Time Magick to the Shikari’s fast ninja-sword offense, with Heavy Armor for survivability.
Time Battlemage / Knight Combines Time Magick support with the Knight’s Strength, greatswords, and shields for a durable battlemage.
Time Battlemage / Foebreaker Pairs battlefield control with the four Breaks for a debuff-heavy disruptor.
