White Mage Job IconWhite Mage

The White Mage is the primary healing class in Final Fantasy XII. It has access to Rods, Greatswords, and Daggers as weapons, and to all White Magicks and Green Magicks. You can pair it with many other jobs to increase their usefulness, such as the Shikari, the Foebreaker, the Machinist, or any of the other mages.

The White Mage is the essential healer, casting the full White Magick line from behind Mystic Armor with Rods. Notably, its board also grants Greatswords, letting a White Mage wield the Holy-elemental Excalibur.

The White Mage works best when paired with a second job that covers its gaps. A few combinations worth considering:

White Mage / Machinist The classic combination: stat-independent gun damage lets the low-Strength White Mage contribute ranged damage between heals.
White Mage / Shikari Builds a nearly unstoppable tank, adding the Shikari’s HP, shields, and evasion to full healing.
White Mage / Monk Creates a self-sufficient front-liner with the Monk’s HP and Pole damage backed by complete healing.
