Mt Bur-Omisace
Walkthrough

This page is a walkthrough for the second visit to Mt Bur-Omisace which takes place after the events at the Stilshrine of Miriam. If this is your first visit to Mt Bur-Omisace after traveling through the Golmore Jungle, you should navigate to the first Mt Bur-Omisace walkthrough page.

After leaving the Stilshrine of Miriam, you must now travel back to Mt Bur-Omisace. You can either walk back there by running through the Paramina Rift, the way you came, or you can teleport to the mountain using the orange Save Crystal to teleport directly there. Notice that it is now raining when you arrive.

Travel up the Temple Approach, past all of the destruction and awe struck refugees, towards the Hall of Light. Push open the Gate of the Holy Circle and enter the Temple.

Hall of the Light

There is a short cutscene that takes place when you enter the Hall. The Judge has already killed Gran Kiltias Anastasis and then makes a move on Ashe and the rest of the party, demanding the Sword of Kings. This will throw you directly into your next boss battle.

Boss Battle: Judge Bergan
Battling against the Judges that join the battle behind you first

Level: 30
HP: 17,200
Steal: Hi-Potion (55%), Ruby Ring (10%), Ether (3%)

The boss battle against Judge Bergan can be referred to as a gear-check battle; a MMORPG term that describes a battle with no particular strategy requirements. Rather, you just need to be stronger than your opponent. You need to do more damage to Judge Bergan than he and his backup Judges do to you.

Three other Judges will join the battle and start attacking your team from behind. They start off fairly close to you whereas Judge Bergan starts off quite far away; he also takes his sweet time walking over to join the battle. This gives you plenty of time to get some attacks on the other Judges or take them out completely very early on in the fight.

Defeat all three of the Judges before you turn to Judge Bergan. You can use either your Quickenings or summon one of your Espers to make the battle easier, but there really isn’t much strategy to this fight.

Keep the curative spells and items going and keep your damage up and outlast them all. Judge Bergan will start countering attacks a lot more as his HP starts to drop so be prepared to take a barrage of damage.

As mentioned, this is a gear check fight, so the best recommendation if you are having trouble with this fight is to go back out and level up your characters if needed.

Visions of the Dreamer

The Visions of the Dreamer Trophy is automatically obtained after you have defeated Judge Bergan at Mt Bur-Omisace.

The team will leave the temple at the end of the fight and will decide to travel to the Imperial City of Archades. Rather than travel by air or by sea, they will choose to travel by way of the Salikawood by heading north from Nalbina.

Before that though, speak to the Acolyte standing in front of the temple and he will provide you with the Stone of the Condemner.

It is now time to take care of some new side quests that have become available. Navigate to the next page for more information.
