Bikanel is a large island on the west side of the continent of Spira. It contains the Sanubia Desert and the Al Bhed Homeworld of Home
The story takes you through Bikanel after the team manages to escape from the Lake Macalania Temple. Click on either of the links below for more information. Both of these sections of the game take place on the Island of Bikanel:
19) Sanubia Desert
The Sanubia Desert is part of Bikanel Island where you must track down each of your team members on the way to Rikku’s hometown.
20) Home
The hometown of the Al Bhed which is under siege by unknown forces.
You will also need to complete the Village of the Cactuars side quest in this area:
This is also where you will pick up the 
Mercury Crest. This item is needed later on to obtain Rikku’s Celestial Weapon, the 
Godhand.
