The Al Bhed Primers serve as tools for teaching your team each of the letters of the Al Bhed language. Aquiring proficiency in these letters enables you to comprehend the Al Bhed dialogue, whether they are speaking amongst themselves or with your party members.
Refer to this guide and accompanying screenshots below to pinpoint the locations and obtain each 
Al Bhed Primer. To track your progress, inspect the Key Items section in your inventoryand idenfity the missing ones. The primers are acquired in alphabetical order, with Volume I corresponding to the letter “A”, Volume II to “B”, and so forth.
Regrettably, there is no way to go back and pick up some of the Al Bhed Primers if you missed them. This will be indicated in each of the descriptions below. Utilize the map markers provided in each screenshots to help you search and make sure you get them all.
Master Linguist
You will receive the Master Linguist Trophy if you manage to pick up all 26 Al Bhed Primers as you travel through Spira.
The first Al Bhed Primer is located at the rear of the Salvage Ship in the game’s opening chapter. Alternatively, if you missed it, you can acquire it later in the Bikanel Desert, close to the point where you reuinite with Wakka if you missed it on the ship.
This Primer can be found inside the Crusader’s tent in Besaid Village. If you forgot about this Primer, you may not be able to access the Village later on in the game, as it may be blocked by Dark Valefor. You cannot get around Dark Valefor to enter the village and will have to defeat it if it has appeared.
The third Primer is onboard the S.S. Liki and can be found in the engine room (with the Chocobos). You can also find this Primer later in the Bikanel Desert if you missed it.
The fourth Primer can be found in one of the huts in Kilika next to Kulukan (the Blitzball player).
The fifth Primer can be found on the bridge of the S.S. Winno. It can be obtained in the Bikanel Desert if you missed it.
The sixth Primer can be found in the locker room, opposite of the Besaid Auroch’s locker room, under the stadium in Luca.
The seventh Primer can be found near the stairs leading up to the Sphere Theater in Luca.
The eighth Primer is automatically given to Tidus by Rin when you reach Rin’s Travel Agency along the Mi’ihen Highroad - Agency, Newroad.
The ninth Primer can be found along the trail just after you leave Rin’s Travel Agency working your way along the Mi’ihen Highroad pathway.
The tenth Primer is hidden around a secret pathway that can be found in the Valley area of Mushroom Rock Road.
The eleventh Primer is hidden along the Djose Highroad just behind a large pillar. It can be difficult to see if you don’t know what you’re looking for so use the screenshot below to help you find it.
The twelfth Primer can be found on the North Warf of the Moonflow, after the team has rode the Shoopuf to across the river.
The thirteenth Primer is located inside one of the houses in Guadosalam.
The fourteenth Primer is given to Tidus by Rin if you tell him that the study of the Al Bhed Language is going “Okay" at Rin’s Agency in the Thunder Plains. You can obtain this volume in the Bikanel Desert if missed.
The fifteenth Primer is located in Macalania Woods near the Save Sphere and near the area where Auron carves a hole in the pathway. It can be difficult to see, but it’s near where O’aka XXIII is/was standing.
The sixteenth Primer is located to the left of to Rin’s Travel Agency near Lake Macalania.
The seventeenth Primer can be found in the central area of the Bikanel Desert on Sanubia.
The eighteenth Primer can be found in the central area of the Bikanel Desert on Sanubia as well.
The nineteenth Primer is located just outside of the entrance to Home in Bikanel. There is no way to obtain this volume if it has been missed.
The twentieth Primer is located in the Living Quarters off the main hallway of Home. There is no way to obtain this volume if missed.
The twenty-first Primer is located in the Main Corridor area of Home. There is no way to obtain this volume if missed.
The twenty-second Primer is located along the pathway to the Bevelle Temple after the wedding scene. There is no way to obtain this volume if missed.
The twenty-third Primer is located in the northwest corner of the Calm Lands.
The twenty-fourth Primer can be found in the northwest corner of Remiem Temple.
The twenty-fifth Primer is located in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth.
The twenty-sixth Primer is located in the Omega Ruins.
