Monster Arena > Original > Th’uban
HP: 3,000,000
Th’uban can be unlocked in the Monster Arena by unlocking six other Species Conquest fiends.
The most difficult aspect of the battle against Th’uban is it will counterattack every time you hit it, just like Earth Eater and Greater Sphere did. Th’uban will counterattack all attacks with a move called “Condemn” which will remove a number of beneficial status effects, specifically Auto-Life, Haste, Protect, Regen, Reflect and Shell. It can also use a move called “Rainbow” which will inflict a number of negative status effects including Confuse, Curse, Darkness, Silence and Sleep. It can also cast Regen on itself. So how do you survive this barrage?
You should consider power leveling your characters and obtaining the Celestial Weapons. Check out the Advanced section of the Tips and Tricks for more information. Properly leveled characters with their strongest weapons is a necessity for this battle.
Ensuring that you have very high Defense will make sure that its counterattack does not hit your party members for too much damage. You will want to have Auto-Phoenix on your character’s armor in case any of them are KO’d and you will also want to ensure that you have Auto-Haste and Auto-Protect on each of your character’s armor. Auto-abilities cannot be dispelled, so check out the Best Armor section if you need more information on how to craft this armor.
Lastly, you will want to ensure that your characters are protected from the negative status effects. You can equip them with Confuseproof and/or Sleepproof if you’re cheap, or add the Ribbon auto-ability to as many armors as you can afford. Make sure you have a stockpile of Remedy to deal with the other negative status effects.
