Description:
“Restores some HP.”
Effect:
This spell can be used to heal your party members for a small amount of HP.

This spell can be used to heal your party members for a intermediate amount of HP.

NulBlaze
Description:
“Nullifies one fire attack on party.”
Effect:
Casting this spell on a team member will cause the next Fire-based magic attack to be nullified and do no damage. It only works once. After it has been cast, and until it has been used up, a small orange orb will circle the party member while NulBlaze is in effect.

Description:
“Nullifies one lightning attack on party.”
Effect:
Casting this spell on a team member will cause the next Thunder-based magic attack to be nullified and do no damage. It only works once. After it has been cast, and until it is has been used up, a small yellow orb will circle the party member while NulShock is in effect.

Description:
“View an enemy’s data.”
Effect:
You can use this spell to “Scan” an enemy and find out its current HP, its maximum HP and any elemental weaknesses it may have. An alternative to using the Scan spell is to use a weapon that has the Sensor auto-ability.

Description:
“Cures a character’s status ailments.”
Effect:
You can use this spell to cure one of your party members of a number of different status effects including:
It cannot be used to remove the following statuses:
- Curse (removed via Dispel or Holy Water)
- Doom (cannot be removed)
- Zombie (removed via Holy Water)
- Power Break, Magic Break, Armor Break and Mental Break (removed via Dispel)

You can use this spell to bring a KO’d character back to life at 50% of their maximum HP. This has the same effect as a Phoenix Down item.

Effect:
Using this spell on a character will raise that character’s Agility stat and allow them to have more turns during a battle. This spell can be automatically cast on your party members by customizing their armor with the Auto-Haste ability.

Using this spell on an enemy will reduce the target’s Agility and will reduce the number of turns that they will have in battle, effectively increasing the number of turns that your party members receive.

Using this spell on one of your party members will raise their Magic Defense stat which will reduce the amount of damage done by magic attacks. This spell can be automatically cast on your party members by customizing their armor with the Auto-Shell ability.

Using this spell on one of your party members will raise their Defense stat which will reduce the amount of damage done by physical attacks. This spell can be automatically cast on your party members by customizing their armor with the Auto-Protect ability.

Reflect
Description:
“Target reflects spells towards enemy.”
Effect:
Using this spell on one of your party members will cause magic spells cast on that party member to bounce back at the enemy. This includes both White and Black magic spells.

Dispel
Description:
“Negates all spell effects on an enemy.”
Effect:
Using this spell on an enemy or boss will remove positive status effects. It can be used to remove Curse, Armor Break, Power Break, Magic Break and Mental Break.

Regen
Description:
“Target gradually recovers HP for a time.”
Effect:
Using this spell on one of your party members will cause them to slowly regain HP over time. HP is regained each time either one of your party members or the enemies have a turn in battle. This spell can be automatically cast on your party members by customizing their armor with the Auto-Regen ability.

Description:
“Deals holy damage to an enemy.”
Effect:
This spell deals a heavy amount of Holy damage to an enemy target. It can be very useful for Yuna later in the game as she does not gain access to many damage dealing magic spells.
