Trading Places II
This page provides an overview of how to complete the Trading Places II Optional Quest.

Unlock Conditions
This quest and seven others become available once you’ve completed the Across the Narrow Main Scenario Quest and return to the Hideaway.
Quest Giver and Location
The quest giver is Theodore, and he can be found just south of the Boklad Obelisk.

Quest Details
Head over and speak to Eloise near the Crimson Caravans. After that, exit Boklad to the south and ride your Chocobo nearly all the way to the Republican Gate. Eloise can be found standing on a ledge nearby.

After some dialogue, your next destination is Kasjlok. Travel to the Laetny’s Cleft Obelisk and follow the trail on the right side of the canyon down towards the town. Walk through the town to find Theodore’s two friends, who mention that he went upriver.

Follow the path along the river, up through Cerdra’s Thread, defeating the Akashic enemies that you come across. You have a battle against another dragon once you reach the aether-flooded area and defeat the smaller enemies there.
This creature will be missing some of the Flan Prince’s more powerful attacks, like “Dualcast” and “Hands Down,” though, making it much easier to defeat.

Herensuge, the large Akashic Dragon, is very similar to other dragons you’ve fought up to this point in the game, except that it has fewer attacks and less HP, so it’s easier to deal with. Refer back to the Akashic Dragon or Akashic Dragon and the White Dragon boss sections if you’d like a quick refresher on its attacks.
