Rain in the Giza Plains

The Giza Plains goes through a unique weather cycle that will change the entire look, feel and layout of the zone. During the Rains, different fiends roam the plains, some crossings flood while new ones open up, and certain Hunts such as the Croakadile and the Gil Snapper only become available. Knocking down the withered trees during the Rains also opens the path to the hidden Tracks of the Beast area, while the dry season is when the Sunstone quest and its dark crystals are active. The weather cycle begins after you have reached Eruyt Village – prior to that, it will stay in the dry season.

So how do you change the weather in the Giza Plains?

The weather cycles naturally based on the time in the game. There is 1 hour of rainy season followed by 2 hours of dry season. You will have to allow the in-game clock to tick away until enough time has passed.

Entering the Giza Plains during the Rainy Season

Note though that you have to leave the Giza Plains entirely in order for the shift to take place from “wet” to “dry” season or vice versa.
