Reks

Reks is Vaan’s older brother and a soldier in the Dalmascan army. He is playable only during the game’s prologue, an extended sequence that doubles as the tutorial, and he does not join the main party afterward.

Because Reks is only controllable in that opening stretch, he has no bearing on party building or the stat rankings used elsewhere in this section. Treat the prologue as a guided introduction to the battle system before Vaan takes over as the lead character.
