In-Game Description
“A monster born in Balmung Dark, and quite possibly the deadliest beast known to man. Cid, we beg you to slay it, not only that the world might be a safer place, but that the Bearers who lost their lives to that vile creature might at last be avenged. Forgive our presumption, but knowing what we do of it, we doubt that any but you could emerge from its cage alive.”

Notorious Mark Location
The Kuza Beast is located in the center of Balmung Dark and appears after you’ve located the last survivor with Dorys. Find the section of gate that’s busted open and make your way into the center of the ring to begin the fight.

This Notorious Mark behaves very similarly to the Behemoth you fought at Drake’s Spine. Its attacks include:
- Physical Jumps and Swings: These attacks are very similar to those you’ve seen while fighting Flame Lizard and the Coeurl. Be ready to dodge if you see Behemoth getting prepared to jump across the screen or raise one of its claws to swing.
- Comet: Behemoth will summon up to three comets that land wherever Clive is standing. These comets emit a large ring of magic outward from where they land, just like during Sleipnir’s Dead Man’s Brier attack or if you fought Svarog.
Because it doesn’t have nearly as much HP as the Behemoth, you should be able to defeat it with one stagger and before you see too many of its attacks.
