Your introduction to Final Fantasy XIII’s paradigm and role system begins in Chapter 3. This is where you get a true opportunity to explore tactics and apply strategies in each of the battles that you face for the rest of the game.
Introduction
Each character will gain access to a limited number of specialized Crystariums and roles in the early stages of the game and eventually, when you reach the final chapters of the game, each character will gain access to all six of the available roles.
