Cid the Outlaw

Kostnice
You’ll be thrown right back into battle after the cutscenes, but you now have access to “The Power of Thunder” through the Eikon Ramuh’s essence. This will give you access to your third Eikonic Ability Set that will already start showing up when you press the Button to rotate between Eikons.
You will first need to defeat a group of “Hugo’s minions” that are busy terrorizing some civilians. Using Will-o’-the-Wykes during this sequence can help protect you while you learn how to use some of your new abilities. This group includes some spellcasters that you should focus on first. A second wave of enemies will follow the first group, and then…

Boss Battle

You will face a few of these cat-type enemies as you progress through the game, but this first one is considered a mini-boss battle by the game.
The cat’s attacks will come quickly, with it often jumping across the map and lunging forward with its claws, but it typically winds up before attacking, giving you plenty of time to dodge. Using Will-o’-the-Wykes can be helpful until you get used to its attack pattern.
The most challenging one to get used to is its spinning attack; you can tell when it’s about to use this attack because it will jump backwards and scrape the ground twice with its hind leg.
The only other attack to be mindful of is its “Savage” attack, which involves a flurry of claw-based attacks that need to be dodged in succession.
This is yet another battle where you can earn a Medal of Valor, but it can be a bit challenging to earn both of the Medals for this fight and the fight against Typhon at the same time, so you may have to try them both a few times. Playing extremely defensively during this fight, with heavy reliance on Will-o’-the-Wykes, is a good way to get through it. Defeating the Republican War Panther without taking damage will earn you the
Medal of Valor - War Panther.

Clive or Cid?
Helpful Hint
Confused about why characters have begun referring to the main character as “Cid”? This is briefly explained in the ‘Journal’ entry for your current Main Scenario Quest:
“Five years have come and gone since the fall of Drake’s Head and the tragic death of Cid, the man who saved Clive and Jill from slavery and changed their lives forever. In that time, Clive has taken up his mentor’s name and the mantle of outlaw that he might continue Cid’s legacy and see the chains struck from the realm’s downtrodden.”
His current full moniker is actually “Cid the Second,” which can be seen in the “State of the Realm” option that you can explore later in the game.

From the world map, select the “Hideaway” location in the center of the map. This Main Scenario Quest is short, but during this sequence, Clive will also receive both the Phoenix Feather and
The Oath curiosities, with the latter being the first one that will be hung up on Clive’s Wall of Memories.
