Grand Summon

Yuna’s Overdrive is called “Grand Summon.” Unlike other Overdrives, there is no input mini-game to complete. You just select one of Yuna’s available Aeons to summon.

Grand Summon Mechanics

The boost that Yuna gets for Grand Summon is that the Aeon she summons will enter the battle with a fully charged Overdrive gauge, allowing it to use its Overdrive immediately. After the Aeon uses its Overdrive, the gauge reverts to whatever it was before Yuna used Grand Summon.

This effect can be used to double up an Aeon’s Overdrive ability. If Yuna’s Aeon already had a full Overdrive before it was summoned into battle, Yuna will be able to use Grand Summon to activate the Overdrive, and then the Aeon will be able to use the Overdrive again right afterwards. Being able to use an Aeon’s Overdrive twice in a row can quickly stack the damage against powerful enemies and bosses.
