This Cloister begins when Tidus attempts to cross the icy pathway which disappears from underneath him. The goal of this puzzle is to rebuild the walkway over to the stairwell on the other side of the room.
Take the ramp off to the left that leads down to the lower level. Grab the Glyph Sphere out of the pillar in the center of the room. Place the Glyph Sphere in the pedestal directly beside the pillar.
Push the pedestal to the east which will cause it to hit the icicle in its path and stop. Then push the pedestal to the north which will cause it to hit another icicle and drop down onto a lower pathway.
Go down the ramp to the lower level and take the Glyph Sphere out of the pedestal and place it into the recess furthest away from the pedestal to the left. This will cause a pathway and a portion of the floor to lift upwards and will reveal another Sphere.
Go back up to the main level and take the Macalania Sphere out of the newly lifted portion of the floor. Go back to the lower level where you left the pedestal and place the Macalania Sphere in the pillar. This will cause one piece of the ice pathway to reappear.
Make your way back up to the main floor and take the Macalania Sphere out of the recess on the far right wall. Taking this sphere out will cause the icicle to disappear but that no longer matters since we do not need the icicle to stop the pedestal.
Insert the Macalania Sphere into the pedestal that you left down on the lower level and then push the pedestal to the right. The pedestal will slide under the other pillar and will cause another portion of the ice pathway to reappear.
Go back up to the main level and take the Macalania Sphere out of the back wall. This will cause the ramp leading to the lower level to disappear (but this is fine).
Insert this Macalania Sphere into the pillar in the middle of the room which will cause the last section of the ice pathway to reappear. The pathway across the the stairwell is now complete.
Destruction Sphere: The Macalania Cloister of Trials is now complete but you still have a few steps to complete in order to complete the Destruction Sphere portion of the Cloister.
Walk up the ramp to the now fully completed ice pathway and step on the glyph that appeared on the ground. This will cause the pedestal with the Macalania Sphere to appear on the pathway to the left.
Push the pedestal down the pathway and it will shoot across the room and turn into the Destruction Sphere.
Go down to the main floor and step on the glyph which will cause the pedestal to reappear with the Destruction Sphere attached. Before you grab the Destruction Sphere off the pedestal, take the Macalania Sphere out of the pillar in the middle of the room.
Place the Macalania Sphere in the recess on the far north wall to make the ramp leading to the lower level reappear.
Now take the Macalania Sphere out of the pillar on the bottom level and take it up to the main level and place it in the recess on the right side of the room. This will cause the icicle to reappear (a step which is required to rebuild the ice pathway which is now in pieces again).
Take the Destruction Sphere and place it in the recess on the bottom floor that has not been used for anything yet (closest to the ramp). This will reveal a treasure chest that contains a Luck Sphere. Time to recreate the ice pathway to the stairwell…
Place the Destruction Sphere back in the pedestal, go back up to the top level, step on the glyph and then push the pedestal down the ramp once again. This will transform the Destruction Sphere back into a Macalania Sphere.
Touch the glyph on the main floor and then push the pedestal to the right (back into the icicle). Push it north towards the ramp leading down to the lower floor and then go down to the lower floor and push it to the right.
Grab the Macalania Sphere on the right wall and take it to the lower level and place it in the first pillar. Take the Macalania Sphere near the ramp out of the recess and place it into the pillar in the middle of the main floor.
The pathway is now complete and you can head up the stairwell. Make sure you do not accidentally step on the glyph that resets everything again!
