Squatter Monkeys
In Chapter 1, you can find a woman standing on the far side of the Kilika docks. Speak to her and she will ask you to find and capture the Squatter Monkeys that have taken over Kilika Woods. There are thirteen of them hiding along the trails.
You won’t be able to complete the quest righ taway because the woods are closed off during the first visit. Speak to her early on, though, and you can complete the side quest later on in the Chapter during your next visit.
How to Find Them
The monkeys are invisible until you hear them. As you move through Kilika Woods, listen for a chirping sound, and when you hear it, press the 
button and a Squatter Monkey turns up. Repeat this process until you’ve captured all thirteen. Turn up the volumn, walk slowly, and use the map below to help you find them.

Timing
Your one comfortable window is the Chapter 1 return to Kilika for the Awesome Sphere. Once you leave, you can’t get back to Kilika until Chapter 3, so anything you miss waits until then.

The Reward
Return to the woman on the Kilika docks with all thirteen and she hands over the 
Chaos Maelstrom Garment Grid, a six-node grid imbued with the power of the Dark Knight, which grants the use of Arcana abilities. You can claim it in Chapter 3 or Chapter 5 if you don’t finish in Chapter 1.
Worth It?
This quest takes quite a bit of time for one singular Garment Grid, and it doesn’t count toward 100% Story Completion or any Achievement/ Trophy. If you want Chaos Maelstrom, or you’re completing because you’re a completionist, it’s easy enough to do, otherwise, don’t worry about skipping it.
