Ruin Depths (Calm Lands)
The Ruin Depths is a dungeon that opens up in the back of the Chocobo Ranch. To open it, you’ll need to complete the Chocobo Ranch side quest and send a Chocobo to the Calm Lands. Check out the link below for more information.

As far as Final Fantasy dungeons go, the Ruin Depths, buried in the Chocobo Ranch in the Calm Lands, might just be one of the easiest ones. The only thing you need to know, besides the general layout, which you can figure out from the map below, is that there are five movable walls. To move the walls, approach them from the south, but you’ll need to go through the middle one (marked with a 1 on the map) first before the other ones can be opened.

Boss Battle
Compared to other bosses you’ve faced, the Anything Eater isn’t anything special, as its stats will be pretty low, comparatively speaking. Unfortunately, it has some annoying attacks that can give you grief:
- Two normal attacks: one that is an instant KO and will hit for the target’s maximum HP every time, and a second, more ordinary attack that removes positive status buffs, which it uses as a counterattack.
Firaga / Blizzaga / Thundaga / Flare- Osmose, which can drain MP from targets
It will spend its first five turns casting magic attacks before switching over to its “normal” attack, which will instantly KO the target on its 6th turn. Thankfully, with it having such low HP, you can very likely defeat it before it gets a KO in. Just be ready to revive any party members if they get hit.

Opening the fifth and final door will let you access the last room, which contains the Amazing Chocobo. A short cutscene will play between the Amazing Chocobo and Clasko, which is one of the requirements for obtaining 100% Story Completion. Don’t forget to tick this item off below.
