Inventory and Items
Inventory Management
The biggest challenge you’ll face as you make your way up all 80 floors of Iutycyr Tower is managing your inventory slots. You get 20 inventory slots total, and that won’t change from the first floor to the top.

20 items are barely enough to hold everything you need. You certainly won’t have extra room for bonus Dresspheres or top-up healing items; you’ll need to be extremely selective. So let’s talk about the things that you’re going to need to carry with you most or all of the time:
1. All Your Dresspheres
You’ll obviously need at least 5 Dresspheres: one primary and four secondary, and they sit in your inventory even when you have them equipped. But it’s likely that you’ll end up carrying around even more than that. Pay close attention to which Auto-Abilities you need, as you may need to keep extra Dresspheres around to activate them.
You’ll also need to use a
Dress Fusion Secrets to fuse your Dresspheres together and increase their level, but if you don’t have a Folio on hand and if you have to wait for one, you may end up carrying around a whole stack of extra Dresspheres just waiting around so you can level up your primary… You may even need to drop some Dresspheres that you want just to clear up some space! But expect your Dresspheres to take up anywhere from 6 to 8 of your inventory spots.
Here is a sample inventory of Dresspheres you might have:
And potentially even a Gunner or Trainer, plus extras if you’re waiting for a
Dress Fusion Secrets. You can see how quickly it adds up!
2. Two Accessories (or more)
At a minimum, you’ll want to have two accessories equipped, and they stay in your inventory, taking up a spot even though you’re wearing them.
Stealth Cape and
Triple Tiara are two important ones worth carrying around, but you may also want
Rune of Sanity or
Longevity Charm as well.
3. Important Folios
There are quite a few important Folios that you’ll need to collect, especially if you plan to visit the Secret Tonberry Room. You’ll need at least three
Find Secret Rooms Folios. If you get lucky, you’ll find a Folio you can use three times (“Find Secret Rooms (3)”), but if you get unlucky, you might have three separate one-time-use Folios that each take up their own slot.
Additionally, you’ll need at least two
Save Memo Folios (or one
Save Memo (2) Folio). Ideally, if you find a Folio with more pages/uses (indicated by the brackets), you can use it or throw away the Folios with fewer.
Other important Folios include
The Dressmaker and
Dress Fusion Secrets. It’s recommended that you hold on to these if you get them, and assuming you can spare the room, in case you get lucky and find a
Notebook Folio, which lets you copy another Folio. Copying
The Dressmaker or
Dress Fusion Secrets is a great strategy for increasing the power of your character quickly and making the later floors much easier.
Lastly, you may get lucky and pick up
Hope: A Memoir Folio, which essentially functions like a do-over/second life. If your primary Dressphere drops to 0 HP, it’ll be instantly revived. You’ll have to make some tough decisions about whether you have room for it; playing a solid game means that you should never drop this low on your primary Dressphere anyway, but it’s worth keeping if you have the room.
Remember that you can always drop extra items you pick up or, for Folios specifically, use them on the spot instead of throwing them away. You can also drink Vials right away, too! The
Shop Guide and
Dress Shop Guide are great Folios that allow you to visit a shop and repeat a floor. Make sure to grab all the treasure on a floor before using them. Once you’re ready, though, there’s no reason to hoard them, so use them right away to save inventory space.
Some of the best Vials you can pick up include
Enhancing Potion,
Growth Tonic, and
Evolutionary Water. These are great items you can drink right away, so they don’t take up inventory space.
Items Not Worth Dedicating Space To
Without spending too much time on them, these are items you can throw away as soon as you see them:
| It’s not the worst item to use early on in your ascent, but beyond floor 20-ish, you should be throwing them away. | |
| It allows you to send items to the vault, but revisiting the vault requires getting kicked out of the tower… so it’s useless. | |
| Either use it right away or throw it away. | |
| If you have a | |
| A neat Folio, but the item you get from it is random, and it has to be used on an item in your inventory. Turn a random useless Vial into something else and hope you get a good item. |
You can also discard most of the Folios not listed above. They either deal damage to enemies, inflict status effects on enemies, or heal your party members. There’s nothing inherently wrong with them, but you simply won’t have space to carry them. More important items will need that inventory space.
