The Hawkman is an excellent character to put on the front line attacking squad of a unit. It attacks with strength and uses a weapon that’s not used by too many other units. Having a few Hawkman in your battalion allows them to use the best of their weapons. I recommend finding a few.
Hawkmen will be able to evolve when they meet the correct standards, and you evolve them the same way you do any other normal human character - by selecting that option.
Descendant of the ancient clan of noble Hawkmen, once said to have ruled the heavens. Visual: The Vultan looks like the Hawkman, only his wings are red, and he wears a blue shirt. He has long red hair.

Hachigane
The Vultan is mediocre. He is the weaker of the two evolutions of the Hawkman in my opinion. He is a good evolution if you want to keep your Hawkman lawful. Getting him to evolve isn’t very hard and having a few Vultans really can’t hurt your team.

Hawkman who fell in the way of the darkness. Extremely violent, a Raven finds pleasure in drawing blood. Visual: Just like the Hawkman except he has green wings and a pointed metal helm. He wears armor and fights with the same weapon.

The Raven is a cool evolution of the Hawkman. Although I never noticed any physical upgrades, he sure does look better. I recommend evolving your Hawkman either into a Raven or a Vultan. They’re both fine, depending on which way you as a player are headed.

Homunculus created by Deneb, the beautiful witch. Looks like this ones gone wild! Visual: the Pumpkinhead is just basically a dude with a detachable pumpkin for a head. He has a green and white shirt and he has a face carved into the pumpkin.

Glass Pumpkin
The Pumpkinhead is a really useful character. When put in the back he can do serious harm to any enemy force. Just be sure to have a Cleric or Priest near by so that he can be healed after doing his attack, because the Pumpkinhead loses half its HP every time it does Pumpkin Shower. It also cuts the enemies HP in half about 10 times. Very useful. You can also kill a wild Pumpkinhead to get a dowsing rod, which is a very use full item in the game. I recommend finding and using a few Pumpkinheads.

Cute, tiny being with wings. Is she more than just a mascot? Visual: Cute, tiny being with wings. Blue shirt, blond hair and can fly, and does fly on the screen.

Don’t use them! She’s not more than just a mascot! Unless you intent to upgrade your characters slightly for the duration of the rest of the battle, which isn’t very long, then the Faerie is useless. She has an attack, but it’s not powerful at all. Getting the Faerie should be by luck, because searching for one is a waste of time. If you plan on using one it better be because you are missing some people, and you better find some! ‘Cause keeping her for long would be a mistake.
Faeries do not evolve.
Small creature originating from the netherworld. Despite its ugly looks, it is very amiable. Visual: Same size as the Faerie, dark colors. Fly’s, looks ugly, like a gargoyle, and has blue hair and blue wings.

Although it is better than the Faerie at attacking, it has no other use. It will just attack at a moderate pace if put in the back. The same as the Faerie. It should only every be found by accident, used if necessary and kept if stressed for characters.
Gremlins do not evolve.
