Tears of Mercy
This page provides an overview of how to complete the Tears of Mercy Optional Quest.

Unlock Conditions
This quest and two others become available once you complete the short “Like Father, Like Daughter” Main Scenario Subquest during A Song of Hope.
Quest Giver and Location
You can find Rodrigue, the Physicker, in the Infirmary of the Hideaway.

Quest Details
The first step of this quest is to speak to Tarja over by the patient’s bed. After that, you’ll need to slay a “Miteling” for its eye. Travel to the Lostwing Obelisk and head down “The Weeping Rent” pathway to the northeast of town.

The targets are a group of spiders out in the forest. They are very easy to defeat, but a little bit annoying to round up. Quickly dispatch with them, collect the Spider Eye key item, and travel back to Rodrigue in the Infirmary to complete the quest.

Next Steps
Two more quests can be completed at the same time this one is available:
Please, Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol
Optional Quest

“Unsatisfied by the present potency of his morganbeards, Nigel seeks a means to further invigorate the flowers…and believes the answer lies in the vines of a morbol—preferably one large and violent enough to warrant a billet on the Hunt Board.”

Blacksmith’s Blues III
Optional Quest

“Blackthorne is upset yet again, and as expected, August has approached Clive to look into it. Will this be the last time? One can only hope so…”
