Belphegor

The section provides an overview of how to track down and defeat the Notorious Mark for the Belphegor Hunt.
In-Game Description
“Reports have been received of a wild aevis of striking size making its nest atop the hill adjacent to Eastpool. Though all efforts are being made not to rouse the beast’s ire, it is surely but a matter of time before it needs to feed. I hereby petition any brave volunteers to march to the northern border, that we might cut the fiend down before it makes trenchers of the nearby villages.”
Unlock Conditions
This hunt is available after Otto’s Counter opens up during The Gathering Storm after you have completed the events at Martha’s Rest and spoken to Gav back at the Hideaway.
Notorious Mark Location
Travel to the Eastpool Obelisk in Rosaria, and you can find Belphegor in the southeast section of “The Broken Hilt,” in the same area where you found the ‘old man’ that the Mayor of Eastpool had asked you to help find.

Battle Tactics
Notorious Mark Battle

Class: XXX
HP: XXX
Belphegor may look a bit beefier, but it’s just a regular Dragon Aevis enemy, similar to the Imperial War Aevis and the Wivres you’ve fought in this area.
A few changes to be aware of:
- It now launches its Fireballs in blasts of three. You can still counterattack them with
Heatwave, but be ready to dodge the second and third Fireball unless you stun it by getting its “Will Gauge” to 50% HP.
- Its physical attack sequence also has three back-to-back attacks. It will follow its two claw swipe attacks with a backflip kick attack.
- Finally, it has an additional stun attack that it occasionally uses, which causes no damage. It will jump in the air, spread out its two wings, and flash them forward, hitting Clive with a burst of air that temporarily blinds him. After this, Belphegor will lunge forward at Clive from across the map, but this attack is easy to dodge, even if it manages to stun you.

Walkthrough Guide

“Before Clive and Jill might claim their second Mothercrystal, they must first secure passage to the distant Iron Kingdom—something Clive believes his long-lost uncle in Port Isolde might be able to provide them…assuming they can get there first.”
