Aruna (The Angel of Death)
The section provides an overview of how to track down and defeat the Notorious Mark for the Aruna Hunt.
In-Game Description
“A trader coming by the way of Caer Norvent met with a troop of Cursebreakers traveling in the opposite direction and warned them of a wicked, winged harpy on the road ahead—his eyes wild and flickering. Though the Cursebreakers saw nothing untoward on their own journey through their pass, the sound of cackling laughter from the trees ensured that they kept up a brisk pace.”
Unlock Conditions
This hunt is available after Otto’s Counter opens up during 
The Gathering Storm after you have completed the events at Martha’s Rest and spoken to Gav back at the Hideaway.
Notorious Mark Location
Travel to the 
Northreach Obelisk in Sanbreque, and you can find Aruna, the Angel of Death, in the central area of Claireview on the way towards Leuret’s Knot.
Battle Tactics

Aruna’s attacks are ones that you’re already intimately familiar with. They’re the same as Chirada, Suparna, and the other harpies you’ve faced in the fields of the Dragon’s Avery. They include:
- Swipe: Chirada will hold her glowing talon up in the air before swinging it in a wide arc in front of her.
- Lunge: She will jump upwards and slightly backwards before charging towards Clive. The initial animation makes it quite obvious that she’s about to come lunging forward.
- High-leg Kick: She will raise one of her legs in the air and slam it down directly in front of her.
- Magic Beam: Chirada will jump a short distance away, and then you’ll see the path and ground in front of her light up in a giant, green beam. This will give you plenty of time to prepare a counter with
Heatwave. - Spinning Attack: Much like Shiva’s Dominant, the ground will illuminate around Chirada, indicating where she is about to attack. Run away from her before the animation concludes.
