Full Throttle

Overview

Full Throttle is the strongest single target Special Dressphere. It’s able to deal heavy hitting elemental attacks and can gain access to Deeth, which can randomly instantly defeat an enemy. Sword Dance is its only attack that hits everything, so this is the Special Dressphere to use against bosses if you’re having difficulty.

The two wings, Dextral and Sinistral, have different capabilities. The Dextral Wing is able to both deal damage and apply status ailments (unfortunately, most bosses are immune), while the Sinistral Wing is able to deal damage and provide support. Both wings can restore HP and MP and revive a KO’d section of Full Throttle, so this form is also the most self sufficient of the three.

The three forms share defensive auto-abilities; however, the HP and damage limit breakers require you to obtain the Corpus Invictus and Victor Primoris items rather unlocking just through AP alone.

The annoying aspect for all Special Dresspheres are the steps you have to take to activate them and how slowly they gain Ability Points (AP). You'll have to jump through Dresspheres and Garment Grids, and then only Paine’s Special Dressphere will gain AP since Yuna and Rikku will be chased off the battlefield.

How to Obtain It

Full Throttle is the earliest of the three. Tromell hands it to Paine in Macalania Woods in Chapter 1 at the end of the conversation with him:
