Before the “Hunter and the Hunted” Main Scenario Quest begins, there are a few things to take care of once Clive returns to the dungeons of the Hideaway. Speak with Charon to purchase the following:

Goldwork Sash	1,450 Gil
Battlechains	1,350 Gil

These two pieces of gear are fairly comparable to what you’re wearing already, if not a slight downgrade, but you’ll be able to upgrade them fairly soon, so it doesn’t hurt to buy them now.

More importantly, though, speak with Blackthorne at The Black Hammer, and he will be able to craft a new sword for Clive.

Stormcry	Wind Shard

You won’t be using this weapon for long because another upgrade will become available, but the only material you need to craft it is the Wind Shard that you received as spoils for defeating Garuda. There’s no point in keeping the Wind Shard for later, as it has no other uses later on in the game.

Speak to Cid near the entrance of the Hideaway to continue moving the story forward. You’ll be able to select The Kingsfall location in northwestern Sanbreque from the map. After a short interlude discussion between Clive and Cid, it’s on to the next Main Scenario Quest…
