Best Accessories
Most Final Fantasy games have an optimized gear and equipment setup, and there is typically minimal variation amongst seasoned players about which equipment is “the best,” but Final Fantasy XVI doesn’t fit as comfortably into that mold. The best gear is obviously the one with the highest stats, but which accessories are the best?
There are quite a few accessories that can be considered the best, and this walkthrough will list most of the ones that could be considered in that category. These are accessories that work for the End-Game Content as well as the challenging Side Quests and Chronolith Trials. However, there can be some variation to this depending on your preferred play style.

Do you find yourself using Diamond Dust all the time? Maybe
Shiva’s Kiss is the answer. Do you excel at aerial combat and utilize every opportunity to get Clive up into the air? In that case, maybe the
Blood Hawk Jess is the answer.
Please don’t consider this list to be exhaustive or prescriptive, as there are many creative options that players have discovered for themselves, and optimized options that are still being discovered to this day, but here are some options you may want to consider:
Accessory | Effect | Notes | Ranking |
---|---|---|---|
![]() |
Increases damage dealt to enemies by 5%. | There is no doubt that the Genji Gloves are the best accessory in the game. No other accessory can provide such an all-encompassing benefit to all of your attacks and abilities. You should have this accessory equipped permanently after you obtain it and especially if you plan on playing a New Game+. | 10/10 |
![]() |
Increases rate at which damage multiplier rises while enemies are staggered, as well as increases multiplier maximum to 200%. The battle technique “Double Impact” is earned upon attaining the multiplier maximum. | This accessory also provides a huge damage boost to Clive, which increases exponentially depending on how efficient and effective you are at putting together combos during a stagger window. | 10/10 |
![]() |
Temporarily increases attack proficiency with each precision dodge. | There is an unlisted benefit that this accessory provides beyond just the damage bonus that it offers if you successfully dodge an attack. This accessory also slows down time for a brief window of time after you complete a dodge. This is helpful, especially during boss fights. The reason why it doesn’t receive a 10/10 is that, for some boss fights, Berserker Ring can actually cause problems due to the slowdown effect (which is noted in the strategy guide). | 9/10 |
![]() |
Enhances Shiva’s Eikonic Feat, Cold Snap, both slightly increasing the duration of Frostbite’s ice trail, and extending the input window for Permafrost. | If you’re using ![]() |

![]() |
Reduces Diamond Dust cooldown time by 7.5 seconds. | Similar note to above, although you shouldn’t rely on ![]() |
8/10 |

Increases rate at which Dancing Steel fills Zantetsuken gauge by 25%. | For those who make heavy use of Zantetsuken, this accessory can set up ![]() ![]() |

![]() |
Increases aerial combo damage by 8%. | Great if you enjoy aerial combat. | 7/10 |
![]() |
Increases Will-o’-the-Wykes duration by 5 seconds. | A helpful accessory, but it is entirely defensive and doesn’t provide much value unless you’re getting hit a lot. | 7/10 |
![]() |
Reduces ability cooldown time and restores a small amount of the HP regain gauge following a precision dodge. | 7/10 | |
![]() |
Automatically charges magic spells and maintains the charge until cast. Accessory effect will not trigger unless the ability “Charged Magic” is learned. | 6/10 | |
![]() |
Increases maximum HP by 500. | A helpful accessory, but it is entirely defensive and doesn’t provide much value unless you’re getting hit a lot. | 6/10 |
