Unlock Conditions
This quest unlocks and is available to complete once you reach Laetny’s Cleft and initiate the 
Onward Main Scenario Quest.

The two Sellswords who provide this quest are standing right in the middle of the pathway—you can’t miss them.
Quest Details
Clive suspects that the two mercenaries aren’t on the up-and-up, but that just means that we’ll have some unexpected enemies to defeat, just like for most of the other quests we’ve completed up to this point.
Swap to your multi-target 
Eikonic Ability Set, mount your 
Chocobo, and continue along the road until you reach some stone ruins. A bunch of “Desert Raiders” will spring out, along with a “Desert Djinn,” to ambush Clive as he tries to get through. The Desert Djinn is just another axe-wielding enemy like the ones you’ve faced before.
Have Clive kick his way through the nearby wooden fence using the 
button, and you’ll see the broken-down wagon on the left side of the path. Examine it to complete the quest.
