Caulk & Bawl
This page provides an overview of how to complete the Caulk & Bawl Optional Quest.
Unlock Conditions
This quest becomes available during 
The Gathering Storm after you speak with Otto in the Mess of the Hideaway.
Quest Giver and Location
The ferryman, Obolus, can be found on the docks near the Hideaway. Use the elevator to return to the docks, and then speak with him near his boat.
Quest Details
Travel to the 
Three Reeds Obelisk in Rosaria. Travel down the pathway a short distance before turning left into the large, swampy area near the cliffs. You can find the “Thorny Thistle” enemies you’re looking for near the waterfall, and they are very easy to defeat.
You will receive the 
Pitcher Wax key item after defeating them. Head back to the Hideaway and speak to Obolus when you’re done.

Experience Points - 250
Ability Points - 10
Renown
Note that this is the first time you’ll have received Renown for completing an Optional Quest. Check out The Patron’s Whisper page in the Side Quests section for more information about how these points work. You can’t access 
The Patron’s Whisper yet, but you will be able to very soon.
