Bomb King

The section provides an overview of how to track down and defeat the Notorious Mark for the Bomb King Hunt.
In-Game Description
“A Cursebreaker aiming for the Imperial Chase took a wrong turn into a nearby wood, within which she discovered the ruins of a Fallen airship—and within them, a beast akin to a great ball of fire that chased her screaming from the grove. The soldier later identified the creature in an almanac of echoes, but was firm in her insistence that the “bomb” she saw was near ten times the size of the one depicted therein.”
Unlock Conditions
This hunt is available after you’ve initiated the Weird Science Optional Quest. This quest is available after you complete the three “Letting Off Steam” subquests during the

Notorious Mark Location
This Notorious Mark can be found in an area called “The Crock,” which is at the end of “The Imperial Chase.” The easiest way to get there is to warp to The Dragon’s Aery Obelisk.

There is a Red Treasure Coffer treasure coffer that you can open up as you pass by “Heavenhall” at the end of the “Imperial Chase Pathway.” The coffer contains a
Black Blood.
Battle Tactics
Notorious Mark Battle

Class: XXX
HP: XXX
The most important thing to note about the Bomb King is that it doesn’t have a “Will Gauge.” You cannot stagger this Notorious Mark, which means that there’s no point in saving up your powerful abilities for later on in the fight like you usually would.
The Bomb King behaves like other bomb-type enemies, but it has a few extra moves:
- Coronation: Will launch a large fireball towards Clive, similar to the ‘Firaga’ spell that some enemies cast. It moves slowly, making it a candidate for a counterattack with
Heatwave.
- Witan: The Bomb King will slam into the ground, dealing damage in the area around where it lands.
- King’s Justice: Bomb King will summon two or more clones of itself. While Bomb King will not self-destruct during this fight, the Bombs it summons (which have lower HP) are capable of exploding.

Make sure you pick up the three piles of Bomb Ash that are scattered throughout the area after you’ve defeated the Bomb King. You’ll need these items to complete the

Walkthrough Guide

“Clive returns to the hideaway and sets about spreading the glad tidings that Hugo Kupka—the man who crushed their former home and saw many of their friends slaughtered—is no more. Those who lost their lives that fateful night are avenged, and those lucky enough to survive can now live without fear that he might one day return.”
