Leviathan
An Eikon that can be unlocked while playing the The Rising Tide DLC Expansion. You’re provided with Leviathan pretty early on during your travels through Mysidia, which gives you lots of time to try out and use the Eikon’s abilities as you progress through the rest of the content.

Leviathan is yet another Eikon that requires significantly changing your style of play to use it effectively. Similar to Ramuh’s Blind Justice, Leviathan’s Eikonic Feat is also a shooting weapon (‘water serpent’) that spits shots of water at enemies. Shooting enemies can be pretty entertaining, but it really changes how you play through the game and attempts to change it from an action fighting game into something of a first-person shooter. There’s no denying that Leviathan’s attacks are very powerful, though.

Serpent’s Cry
Eikonic Feat
Summon a water serpent that transforms Clive’s basic and
actions into powerful ranged attacks.
Tips and Tricks
- Learning to use this attack isn’t as complicated as it seems. Use
to summon the sea-spitting serpent and then press either
or
to trigger attacks. Keep an eye on the Tidal Gauge and press
again to refill it, and finally, press
if you want to desummon the serpent.
- This attack deals a ton of damage and, while it slows down Clive’s movement, it allows him to dodge and roll by pressing the
button twice. In short, it completely changes Clive’s style of play. If this shoot-em-up style of play is something you find enjoyable, then you’ll get a kick out of using this ability.
- This attack pairs well with
Abyssal Tear.

Deluge
Eikonic Ability
Launch a long-range rapid-fire salvo of water that is capable of severely knocking back smaller enemies.
Tips and Tricks
- This attack’s primary function is to deplete an enemy’s “Will Gauge,” but you must ensure that the enemy you’re facing is immobile or otherwise incapable of interrupting the attack.
Ability-Related Accessories

Cross Swell
Eikonic Ability
Create twin waves that rush inward, dragging smaller enemies to a central point before Clive.
Tips and Tricks
- This ability has one function and one function only, and that’s to group up a wide range of enemies very quickly. Unfortunately, the applications for this ability are pretty minimal. The enemies have to be pretty close together already for them to get hit by this Eikonic Ability.
Ability-Related Accessories

Abyssal Tear
Eikonic Ability
Rip open a slowly expanding gateway to the murky depths of the sea, and when the timing is right, summon forth an abyssal storm that hones in on nearby enemies.
Tips and Tricks
- This attack is similar to
Impulse with two key differences: the attacks don’t deal damage until you trigger them again, and, if you get the timing right, it does more damage overall. Other than that, there’s not much else to know.
Ability-Related Accessories

Tsunami
Eikonic Ability
Conjure a whorling wave of titanic proportions to swallow up and spit out all enemies caught in the surf.
Tips and Tricks
- A powerful finisher ability that’s good for clearing out large groups of enemies, but there are more powerful abilities in Clive’s arsenal at this point in the game, and it's hard to justify replacing any of them with Tsunami.
