Tips and Tricks

  • The temptation with Titanic Block Ability IconTitanic Block is to hold up the shield until the enemy hits it, and then launch into an attack combo of your own, but this block needs to be used just like a Precision Dodge Ability IconPrecision Dodge or thought of similarly to Cold Snap Ability IconCold Snap. Try to time the block so that it occurs right when an enemy is about to hit. This will earn your bonus time for “Titanic Rampart” and, if you counter with PlayStation Square Button afterwards, “Titanic Payback.” In fact, this is where most of your bonus time should be coming from. You can also earn additional bonus time by countering with Raging Fists Ability IconRaging Fists.
  • Use powerful moves like Upheaval Ability IconUpheaval and Earthen Fury Ability IconEarthen Fury more often than you would for other Eikonic Abilities. Their cooldowns are quick.
  • This is a fight where certain accessories like Purple Accessory Gear IconBerserker Ring can be problematic. Attacks that you can dodge to trigger the ring are attacks that you should be blocking with Titanic Block Ability IconTitanic Block. You don’t have to unequip it necessarily, but it’s something worth noting about your playstyle if you’re having trouble earning time bonuses.
