This page provides an overview of how to complete the Pride Comes Before a Fall Optional Quest.
Unlock Conditions
This quest becomes available after you complete the “Release” Main Scenario Subquest, which takes place during the 
The Gathering Storm.
Quest Giver and Location
You can find Rowan, the Traveling Trader, just outside the Golden Stable at Martha’s Rest near the bridge.
Quest Details
Run down the bridge and towards the Optional Quest Marker 
. Clive will come across and pick up the 
White Chocobo Pinion lying on the ground, and the marker will move further south into the Three Reeds area.
You’ll have to defeat a large group of Chocobo Poachers to save the group of cornered Chocobos. They will be joined by a couple of Harrier Hounds and a large Huntsman, but these are all enemy types that you’ve faced before, so they shouldn’t pose any challenge.

Ambrosia’s Tack
Sharp Fang (x60)
Completing this quest will unlock your Chocobo. The White Chocobo Pinion will be transformed into the 
Ambrosia’s Pinion, which will allow Clive to ride Ambrosia in most of the open areas of the game.

button to mount her.
When You Ride Alone
Achievement/Trophy
“Ride Ambrosia for the first time.” Press the button anywhere out in the world to jump on your 
Chocobo for the first time, and you’ll earn this achievement/trophy.
