Ahriman
The section provides an overview of how to track down and defeat the Notorious Mark for the Ahriman Hunt.
In-Game Description
“A member of the Blood axes stationed at Martha’s Rest reported that he had been set upon in the marshes by an otherworldly horror with a single, staring eye. It flew at him on bony bats’ wings, scratching at him with claws black as night, and sharp as razors. Naturally, he fled in terror—but if a battle-hardened Bloodaxe cannot cope with the mere sigh of such a creature, what hope do the rest of us have?”
Unlock Conditions
This is the first hunt of the game, and the Notorious Mark spawns along the path that you need to travel to complete the “Release” Main Scenario Subquest during 
The Gathering Storm sequence.
Notorious Mark Location
You can find Ahriman in the southern section of Sorrowise, but you probably won’t have to go and find it since you’ll automatically come across it on your way to complete the Main Scenario Quest.

Ahriman’s attacks include the following:
- Physical attack if you get close to it.
- Dark Orbs: Its arms will begin glowing, and then it will launch two slow-moving energy orbs in Clive’s direction. Due to their slow movement, these attacks are extremely easy to counter with
Heatwave. - Laser Beam: Ahriman’s eye will start glowing, and a laser beam will shoot out towards Clive.
- Doom: Four black orbs will appear around Clive that will slowly start disappearing. Once the last one disappears, a large red ring will expand out from Clive, showing you the area where Doom will deal damage. Move out of this area quickly.
- Quaga: Three spots on the ground near Clive will begin glowing. Dodge away from them before they deal damage.
Because of Ahriman’s limited moveset, this is a straightforward battle.
