The mark for this Mission can be fairly challenging. If you’re completing this mission during your travels through Chapter 11, you may need to spend some time leveling up your characters if Geiseric gives you trouble. Your characters should have more than 1,500 HP at this point and will need sufficient HP in order to survive the heavy damage from its attacks.
The Cie’th Stone for this mission is located in an area southwest of the Central Expanse and near the southern edge of the Archylte Steppe. You will have to sneak past or defeat a few enemies in the narrow canyon.
Pull up the mini-map after you accept the mission and you will be able to see the pink star to the west of where the Cie’th Stone is located showing you were to go to find Geiseric. The are you are looking for is called the Western Benchland; there are quite a bit of enemies in the area but its fairly easy to get past them.
Class: C
HP: 702,000
Geiseric’s attacks hit your party for quite a bit of damage that can quickly become overwhelming, but the time between its attacks are quite lengthy. Unless your party member’s HP is too low to survive the attacks, you should be able to quickly recover and go back on the offensive.
Start the battle off in a defensive paradigm like Evened Odds to get some helpful buffs up (Protect being the most important) and then get Geiseric into a stagger as quickly as possible. This mark is susceptible to Launch which means you can prevent it from getting much damage in as long as you can keep it staggered and keep it stunned in the air.
Another helpful attack is to make sure that Fang, in her Saboteur role, is able to inflict Slow and Curse on Geiseric. This will also greatly reduce the amount of incoming damage.
The next Cie’th Stone is back near the Arid Strath in the Central Expanse of the Archylte Steppes.
