Boss Strategies

Hero Side

F-61 Big Foot
Ground/Air Combat Walkers

This boss isn’t to terrible difficult. All you have to do is hit him on the top side. First grab some rings, they’re spread throughout the arena. Next wait for your enemy to fly around shooting his machine gun. During this time you can jump onto the surrounding boxes, jump up when he comes to you and hit him. You can’t do this when your not standing on a box because your too low… At other times he will land and will begin shooting missiles at you. After he is done is your time to attack. Essentially you can hit him at any time if you can make it (You’ll know when you’ve hit him because he will flash red and the health meter in the top corner will start to decrease). He takes four hits to destroy.

Dr. Eggman
The First Attack

Dr. Eggman is really simple. Not easy, simple. All you really have to do is keep a mass of bullets continually aimed at him. Just keep shooting. Even the bullets that aren’t homing still do stuff, so press B even if your not locked on. It really doesn’t matter whether you go pick up rings or not. And remember, he has special attacks. When the camera zooms up on him and he says something, that means he’s going to use a special attack. Move when he does this…

Shadow
The First Attack

All you need to remember is don’t be stupid. Remember, you’ve got all day to defeat Shadow. A few pointers are: Never use a homing attack when Shadows near the edge. There’s a chance you might fall off. Also, don’t use your spin dash… Ever (Where you stop moving, press B and start charging up). Chances are you’ll end up off the edge. Just use your somersault when Shadow stops moving. And speaking of when he stops moving… Wait for it! He will stop moving. Don’t keep doing your homing attack over and over again hoping you’ll catch him off guard. It most likely won’t work. One major thing to remember is to get rings. These are your never ending life source and as long as you have one you’ll survive Shadows next blow. If Shadow hits you, forget him. Get your rings back. You get a very limited supply and hell, even he can take them. Shadow takes three hits to finish him off.

King Boom Boo
The King of Ghosts

There isn’t really much help I can give you on this. I can only tell you how King Boom Boo works. First of all, let him chase you. Don’t go faster than him, he’ll just switch sides and follow you from the other side, but he does a gay little laugh while he does which takes up time. So just let him chase you. Don’t worry, you don’t have to go at light speed either. If you go slow he does too. Don’t worry about his blue flames either. If your moving they won’t hit you….Once he starts blowing fire whip around behind him. You’ll dins a ghost carrying a timer. Just hit the ghost (not the timer) and the sun will come through. When Boo goes into the ground (or walls) just hit him out. If he’s in the walls, dig in where you see his Shadow. If he’s in the ground jump and press B. Now when he’s out, fly and hit him. That’s all there is to it. King Boom Boo takes four hits to destroy.

Egg Golem
The Golem

This boss could not be more simple. All you have to do is hit the do-hickey on the top of his head. It’s his weak spot. Just climb the steps on his back (Seems pretty stupid to have steps leading to the weak spot on a monster you want to kick Sonic’s ass, isn’t it). On the last three steps you’ll notice blinking lights (Japanese writing), you can homing attack those all the way to the top, to the last spot (the very top) which you homing attack as well. Just do it a few times. (It’s really easy, for some reason he doesn’t move while your climbing the steps on his back. Takes five hits to destroy.)

Rouge
The First Attack

Just attack. You, for some reason, don’t get any special attacks (and yet when you fight Knuckles as Rouge, Knuckles gets all the special attacks he wants). At the beginning pick up some rings. You’ve always gotta make sure you have some. Other than that you just gotta basically attack. When the bottom of the level blows open Rouge will stay on one of the ledges. Look for her. At this point she will most likely be doing special attacks so she won’t be moving. When she does do a special attack just keep moving. Rouge takes four hits to destroy.

Dr. Eggman
The Second Attack

Shadow
Final Attack

There are a few ways of inflicting damage against the coolest hedgehog. First of all, when you get to far ahead of him, he warps back in front of you. You can attack him by pressing B right there. This doesn’t work later on because after you’ve hit him twice or thrice he gets smarter and starts jumping when your near. That’s when you have to use the next method. Get far ahead of Shadow, when he warps back in front of you slow down until he uses his attack. After that he will stop moving for about 1 or 2 seconds. That’s when you attack him. There’s only one other way to inflict damage. If Shadow warps in front of you and lands in a row of rings, just run up to the row of rings and do the light dash. You’ll hit him on your way through. This is hard to do though because if he moves he’ll be to far ahead and will take rings and you’ll miss, because he’ll have taken some of the rings you need to hit him. Shadow takes four hits to destroy.

Dark Side

B-3x Hot Shot
Heavy- Armed Combat Walkers

This boss isn’t to terrible difficult. All you have to do is hit him on the top side. First grab some rings, they’re spread throughout the arena. Next wait for your enemy to fly around shooting his machine gun. During this time you can jump onto the surrounding boxes, jump up when he comes to you and hit him. You can’t do this when your not standing on a box because your too low….At other times he will land and will begin shooting missiles at you. After he is done is your time to attack. Essentially you can hit him at any time if you can make it (You’ll know when you’ve hit him because he will flash red and the health meter in the top corner will start to decrease). He takes four hits to destroy.

Tails
The First Attack

Tails is really simple.

R-1/A Flying Dog
Multiple Attack

This guy is just like the Hot Shot and the Big Foot. All you have to do is hit him on the topside. It doesn’t matter when. The only difference is that you can jump on the walls on two sides to get a better attack. The Flying Dog takes five attacks to destroy.

Sonic
The First Attack

All you need to remember is don’t be stupid. Remember, you’ve got all day to defeat Sonic. A few pointers are: Never use a homing attack when Sonic’s near the edge. There’s a chance you might fall off. Also, don’t use your spin dash…ever (Where you stop moving, press B and start charging up). Chances are you’ll end up off the edge. Just use your somersault when Shadow stops moving. And speaking of when he stops moving…wait for it! He will stop moving. You get a very limited supply and hell, even he can take them. Sonic takes three hits to finish off.

Egg Golem
The Golem

Basically just shoot to kill. First start off by shooting him. Aim for him and press B. This will shoot those non heat seeking shots. After you hit him enough a new weak spot (Which you can lock onto) will we able to be seen. It’s on the front side. Destroy it and then keep shooting at the Golem. A new weak spot will appear. Just do that until you destroy all three weak spots.

Knuckles
The First Attack

Just attack. You, for some reason, don’t get any special attacks (and yet when you fight Rouge as Knuckles, Rouge gets all the special attacks she wants). At the beginning pick up some rings. You’ve always gotta make sure you have some. Other than that you just gotta basically attack. When the bottom of the level blows open Knuckles will stay on one of the ledges. Look for him. At this point he will most likely be doing special attacks so he won’t be moving. Beware, Knuckles can shake you down from the walls. When he does do a special attack just keep moving. Knuckles takes four hits to destroy.

Tails
The Second Attack

Tails is really simple.

Sonic
Final Attack

There are a few ways of inflicting damage against the second coolest hedgehog. First of all, when you get to far ahead of him, he warps back in front of you. You can attack him by pressing B right there. This doesn’t work later on because after you’ve hit him twice or thrice he gets smarter and starts jumping when your near. Final Battle

The Biolizard
The Prototype of the Ultimate Life

We’ll go through his attacks and what you should expect. First he’ll try to swallow you. Just stay far enough in front of him so that you don’t get hit. If you get to far in front he’ll start going the other way. Be careful not to grab too many rings. You’ll need them more later on, trust me. This first time you get off easy. After he’s done twirling he’ll stop and the pipe attached to his mouth will start to have red things coming out of it. You have to grind up that pipe. When you get to the top you’ll see a glowing orb. Hit that. That’s the Biolizard’s weakness. Now the next time is the same, except for one thing. He’ll try to eat you and then he’ll shoot little black orbs at you. You have to dodge them. It would seem hard… because it is. Go to the left side and wait till it gets close and then dart out in the opposite direction, right. Then wait and dart out left. You know the rest. (Soon I hope to have a video of this). You could be the best Shadow in the world and still not be able to dodge every black orb. After you do that three times you’ll get to the bubbles part. Just homing attack the bubbles all the way to the top and then homing attack the orb. I make it sound easy, but don’t be surprised if you have some trouble with this. Execution is the hard part here. The last time you need to hit him you float. Just float your way through the bubbles, land on the platform next to the orb and hit his weak spot. Congratulations, you win.

The FinalHazard
The Prototype of the Ultimate Life

Easy. Once you know what to do this is easy. The game designers probably tried to set this up so you could feel like you were awesome cause this is the climax of the game. You fly in this battle. You’re on a ring count down. As you move your rings disappear. It’s more like a timer before you have to switch players. Press forward on the control stick to go forward, but go faster if you press the A or B buttons. A is up and B is down. Your looking for a pink orb attached to the Biolizard. When you get close to it, tap A or B (depending on whether you want to go up or down) and Sonic or Shadow will do a quick attack. Just make sure your pressing A or B when you touch the orb. Other than that, dodge stuff and have fun!
